I think it’s got to be near-oh, because I heard Todd Rundgren pronounce it that way and I know he met her once :)
Right! Yeah I’m going to keep saying it that way.
I’d say it’s worth at least a try. :D

SAME. That is the right way to say it! But according to my uncle because he’s “always said ‘NIGH-ro’ it has to be right” when I’ve seen scans of advertisements where it literally says “pronounce it near-oh” and wikipedia AND multiple biographies of her say the same thing!
